The Mohawk Trail
Three hundred years ago, the Mohawk Trail was a simple Native
American footpath. Today it is about a two hour drive on a modern two lane
highway. With attractions, historic sites and beautiful views along the way, The
Mohawk Trail is an adventure and a cultural experience.
The Mohawk Trail concerts are an informal gathering of
outstanding artists from far and wide. Also, the summer theaters in Williamstown
or Greenfield offer a wide variety of performances.
Be sure to see the Bridge of Flowers, million-year-old glacial
potholes, a Native American Pow Wow, fascinating craftspeople, a covered bridge
and stunning mountain vistas. Enjoy hiking, biking, mountain climbing, and
white-water rafting. Shoppers will find a host of country stores and unique gift
shops along the trail.
